About Me
Root Cause Integrative Medicine
I am a board-certified Functional and Eastern Medicine physician, and my work focuses on complex, chronic, and often misunderstood conditions. I care for patients dealing with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, mental health challenges and trauma, post-operative and injury recovery, chronic pain, sleep disorders, fatigue, migraines, and addiction recovery.
My clinical approach is grounded in systems biology and root-cause medicine. I integrate Functional Medicine, biochemistry, and Traditional Chinese Medicine to understand why symptoms develop and persist, rather than simply managing them. Every patient I work with is treated as a unique, interconnected system shaped by physiology, environment, history, and lived experience.
I graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Eastern Medicine from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, California. I completed my residency training at the Roy & Edna Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank, as well as at the Being Alive Community Health Center in West Hollywood. I also completed advanced training at the Institute for Functional Medicine, where I remain an active member and a Board-Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (IFMCP).
In parallel with my private practice, I served for three years as a clinician at Reconnect Trauma Center. There, my work included somatic acupuncture, integrative primary care, mindfulness-based interventions, and metabolic health support. This experience profoundly shaped how I understand trauma physiology, nervous system regulation, and the essential role of safety and resilience in healing.
Beyond clinical practice, I serve as a medical reviewer and a member of the Medical Expert Board for Verywell Health and Health.com. I am also a medical writer, a medical AI trainer, and a member of the advisory team at The Aether Loop, where I contribute to the thoughtful integration of medicine, technology, and systems intelligence.
Balance, Nature & Human Potential
At the heart of my work is the belief that health emerges from balance—within the body, the nervous system, and one’s relationship with life and environment. A mindful, compassionate, and engaged lifestyle is not optional to healing; it is foundational.
My perspective as a clinician is deeply influenced by my passion for nature, endurance, and extreme environments. I have competed in events such as the Boston Marathon, Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, Pikes Peak Marathon, Miwok 100, and Escape from Alcatraz. These experiences continue to inform how I think about resilience, recovery, adaptation, and long-term performance.
I approach each patient as a whole person, recognizing the profound interconnection of mind, body, and spirit throughout the healing journey. Having lived and worked across Europe, North America, and Asia, I am culturally fluent, speak five languages, and bring a global, integrative perspective to my clinical work.
